Terms and Conditions for North Wales DJ Services

Introduction

These terms and conditions govern the services provided by North Wales DJ ("the DJ", "we", "us", or "our") for events and bookings within North Wales. By booking our services, you agree to abide by the terms outlined below.

1. Booking Policies

1.1 Booking Confirmation

• A booking is only considered confirmed once we receive a signed agreement and the deposit payment.

• The deposit amount is 10 percent and is non-refundable, except under the circumstances outlined in Section 5.

1.2 Final Payment

• The remaining balance is due 14 days before the event.

• Payments can be made via bank transfer.

1.3 Cancellation by Client

• Cancellations must be made in writing.

• If the event is canceled within  30 days of the scheduled date, the client will be responsible for 50% of the total fee.

1.4 Rescheduling

• Rescheduling requests will be accommodated subject to availability and may incur an additional fee.

1.5 Event Details

• Clients must provide full event details, including location, start and end times, and any specific requests, no later than 14 days before the event.

2. Equipment and Setup

2.1 Setup and Access

• We require at least 2 hours for setup and sound checks prior to the event’s start time.

• Adequate space and power supply must be provided for the DJ equipment.

2.2 Damage to Equipment

• The client will be responsible for any damage to our equipment caused by guests or attendees at the event.

3. Public Liability Insurance

3.1 Coverage

• We maintain public liability insurance to cover any potential incidents related to our services.

• Proof of insurance can be provided upon request.

3.2 Venue Requirements

• If the venue requires additional documentation or certification, please inform us at least 7 days before the event.

4. Performance

4.1 Music Selection

• We are happy to accommodate song requests and playlists provided in advance.

• On-the-spot requests will be honored where possible, but specific songs are not guaranteed.

4.2 Event Timings

• Our standard performance duration is 4 hours. Additional time may be arranged for an extra fee.

• Overruns will be charged at £50 per hour and are subject to agreement on the day of the event.

4.3 Health and Safety

• We reserve the right to stop the performance if health and safety standards are not met.

5. Cancellation by the DJ

5.1 Circumstances Beyond Control

• In the unlikely event that we are unable to perform due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, equipment failure), we will:

  • Notify the client as soon as possible.

  • Make reasonable efforts to arrange an alternative DJ of similar quality.

  • Provide a full refund of the deposit if no replacement can be arranged.

6. Liability

6.1 Limitation of Liability

• We are not liable for:

  • Venue power issues or inadequacies.

  • Delays caused by traffic or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

• Our liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid for the booking.

7. General

7.1 Privacy

• Client details will be kept confidential and used solely for the purpose of providing DJ services.

7.2 Governing Law

• These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Wales and/or the UK.
